Wenzel Family {Thornton Family Photographer}

This was a very special session for me. I first met Daniella and Jason when they were pregnant with Berlin. One of my first ever paid sessions that wasn’t a friend of mine prior to the session. I photographed their little girl when she was just a few days old, and haven’t seen her since. Now she is a year old! My, oh my how the time passes so quickly!
This actually turned into a two-part session. The first day we met up it was so windy. We got a few good images but not at all what I was hoping for. The wind was bitter-cold and Berlin was NOT having it, so we rescheduled for another day.
The second day, everybody was in much better spirits, thought it was still pretty windy out. I must’ve missed the memo that I moved to Wyoming!
These are my favorite images from their session(s)!
It was great to see you guys again!! Looking forward to many more years of watching your family grow

Adorable Mr. T {Brighton Children Photographer}

Oh what an amazing session this was! Not only did I get to see how little Thor has grown in the past 18 months, but I also got to witness how my photography has grown, too! This was a portfolio re-buildling session, and it was just perfect. The lighting, the weather, my kids were playing nicely at the park and allowing me to work. It just couldn’t have been better!
Here is an example of how my work (and Thor) has grown in just 18 months:
The photo on the left was taken in August 2010, the photo on the right was taken February 2012. YIKES! What a HUGE difference a year and a half of learning and practicing will do! And what a handsome little guy Thor is turning out to be!
Here are my favorites from this fun session with this little man!
Hopefully it won’t be another 18 months before I get to photograph this guy again!

Bakin’ Ms. Kentlee {Thornton Maternity Photographer}
Posted on March 5, 2012
This session was so much fun!! Not only is Emily an amazingly adorable preggo, their little girl Maya had me cracking up the whole time. She wasn’t too happy, because mommy & daddy woke her up from a pretty good nap, and it was just too funny! Gotta love (other peoples’) cranky children lol. She got to play in the snow for a little bit, and then Daddy finally figured out how to get her in a better mood, too! ![]()

Emily and hubby Julio made such an adorable couple, and they were just glowing in love!! I am in love with this shot! I love how their silhouettes make a heart, and the way they are looking into each others’ eyes. Ahh, swoooonage!! <3

Ms. Kentlee is named after her late grandfather, so this session was super special for a lot of people in the family! This particular shot brought on a LOT of tears, and I love that. I get so giddy when my photographs evoke emotion!
This is Ms. Kentlee bakin’ under Grandpa’s Tee. <3

And you can’t ever have an entire family together, without a super cute family shot

It was a pleasure meeting you guys, thanks for sticking it out in the cold!! I cannot wait to meet and photograph your new baby girl!!!

New Year, New Offer! {Colorado Portrait Photographer}
Posted on January 5, 2012
As you can see, my blog is pret-ty dang naked! I don’t have any of my work up here, because, well…it’s all old. I haven’t shot a portrait session in AGES! (five months, to be exact!) and although it doesn’t seem like a long time, I feel my work has evolved quite spectacularly since then. I have been doing boudoir work here & there, and it has really got me used to posing, rather than just following you around with camera in tow. I can’t very well get more work, without work to show, so that means I NEED to update my portfolio to reflect my growth!! I NEED to get new clients if I ever plan to quit my day job!
You may be asking “why do I care? what does this mean for me?”
Well, my friend. It means a great deal to you! I am offering an amazing 50% (that’s fif-ty per-cent) off any portrait session that is scheduled between Jan 6 and Mar 31, 2012!! This is the ABSOLUTE last time my prices will ever be discounted to this degree (if at all!)! If you’ve been on the fence about booking a session with me, now is the time to do it! New and recurring clients are welcome encouraged to take advantage of this stupendous offer! It won’t happen again!
Now for the boring stuff:
- Session must be paid in full before session is considered scheduled, if full payment is not made, your date is still open, and may be given away. If you need a specific date, the sooner payment is made, the better! For your convenience, I accept all forms of payment, including credit/debit cards, PayPal, Cash, and certified check/money order
- This offer does not include boudoir work or bundled deals. This offer applies only to portrait work [family, maternity, children, babies, seniors etc.] and includes only the photographers’ time and talent.
- You must be comfortable with your images being displayed online, and in printed form to receive this offer. (Why offer a portfolio re-building offer, if I can’t use your photos for my portfolio??) and a model release must be signed by each person featured in the images. If you do not wish for your images to be used for advertising, then regular prices apply.
Now, you could be wondering “Well, how much does this amazing offer cost?” And that is where you have to do some work! I do not post my prices on my website any longer, because I don’t want to be booked solely based on my price. So, if you are truly interested, and want any additional details, or you want to book your spot before it is eaten up, contact me! You may use the ‘Contact’ button above, or shoot me an email!
Act fast, these next three months are going to fly by!!

Attention: all cancer patients! {Colorado, Shoots for a cure}
Posted on October 16, 2011
Life in Focus Photography, LLC is excited to announce a partnership with Shoots for a Cure (formerly known as Think Pink Photography). Think Pink Photography was founded in October 2007 to support individuals and their families who have been touched by breast cancer. We are a charitable organization that serves two main purposes – celebrating life and supporting the cause. Recently, we changed our name and our support. We now want to support ALL cancer patients, not just breast cancer.
Through our professional photographer network, we are helping cancer patients to celebrate life with charitable photography sessions. Individuals may choose to document their fight against the disease before or during treatment, or prefer to capture their victory by scheduling a session within 12 months after treatment is completed. Photographers world-wide are now available to donate time and talent to celebrate life and support the cause. There is no cost or obligation to the cancer patient. Clients participating in a Shoots for a Cure session will receive a complimentary photo session, as well as a set of 10 small prints from the session. They will also receive a discount on any additional portraits they wish to purchase, although there is absolutely no purchase required at any time.
To support the cause, we donate and fundraise for The American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen Foundation and have partnered with The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation. All funds generated through donations and various fundraising efforts are paid directly to The American Cancer Society, Susan G Komen Foundation or The Eric R. Beverly Family Foundation in our name. As a 3-time breast cancer survivor, Danielle Beverly and her husband Eric joined together to form a foundation dedicated to promoting education, increasing awareness, and providing support and resources for families who have been touched by breast cancer.
Please subscribe to our blog (on the Shoots for a Cure website) and tell your friends and family about Shoots for a Cure. Awareness is everything and we can’t be successful without you.
I encourage you to view our website, make a donation, or hire a photographer that supports Shoots for a Cure! If you hire me, mention Shoots for a Cure and I will make a personal donation to the organization. If you, or someone you know, would like to schedule a Shoots for a Cure session, please contact me for details.
I am very proud to be a network photographer with Shoots for a Cure, and am anxious to get the word out about this amazing program. For more information, you can contact me, or you can visit the Shoots for a Cure website
